Bamboo Root
A new look in bamboo – bamboo root! Our collection of platters, vases, and baskets are all hand carved from the root of the Moso bamboo stalk. The roots are harvested from the forest floor to prevent the invasive bamboo from encroaching on the surrounding forest. Rather than discarding them, local artisans are giving them new life by carving the roots into unique shapes that have an attractive and organic look. All pieces are food safe and water resistant
